Lifeform Project

Lifeform Project is an online electronic music label and production entity based in Atlanta, GA. What started out in 2000 as a common bond between a group of musicians, 4 years later has become an integral part of the experimental electronic music scene in Atlanta. Through an array of multimedia events, collaborations with factions such as the independent film scene, and a grassroots movement to increase the spectrum of awareness in Atlanta, LP artists have created a means for development. This community-based effort has grown in vast numbers and now aims to distribute our sound to a much wider-global audience. As a community-built netlabel, our goal is a free, public exchange of ideas thru a non-commercial means. We maintain the highest standards in audio quality with our releases, and embrace the use of Creative Commons licensing - allowing the artist to determine how and under which conditions their work can be used. Please communicate with us.

Inceptdate is the latest musical endeavor by Christopher Devoe, melodic in sound and experimental in rhythm. Dreamlike and abstract, the moods have both resonance and groove. Chris takes the platforms of hip-hop, and IDM and aggregates older influences of 70s jazz-fusion and soul music. He is most interested in experimental structures (or lack there of) that allow him to expand the possibilities of creating with sound. He begins by creating the skeleton of a song - sampling from records or...

Jena Paradies is a vehicle for electronic musician Cornel Novac. Cornel spent his childhood in Moldova, a former building block of the Soviet Union. In the eastern block, his access to music was rather limited, but he relished the occasional mix show he was able to pick up on short wave radio from stations in Germany, Finland, and the UK. With no song titles or records available to him early on, Cornel had to be creative and started producing his first tracks on his brother's Yamaha DX7. After...

Layborn aka Darren Leybourne has been quietly producing music in Winnipeg, Canada for many years. His sound is a progression of over 4 years of searching for "that sound." In his current state of production he has embraced minimal, ambient and exploritory aspects of tech-house. Every track is created with a conceptual approach and of a deeply personal nature. Which results in Darren having countless productions and very little official releases. Until now. "In This I Heard You...

E-Sin, brainchild of Josh Morris, formed in 1999 as a one-man industrial act in Statesboro, GA. since then it's sound has evolved into something more influenced by the glitch movement while also retaining an adoration for distortion, well defined beats, and embracing lush pads layered under pretty melodies. E-Sin is Josh's aim is to embody the sound of looking over your shoulder at what you're leaving behind, of pushing forward despite a fear of the growing distance between here and there. Josh...
